Effisoft announces the successful implementation of WebRisk at FAURECIA, the international automotive parts manufacturer.
Faurecia was formed in 1997 following a merger between a specialist in spring-based seat cushions for the automotive industry and a Peugeot subsidiary and manufacturer of seats, front ends and vehicle interiors.
With 32,000 employees and sales of nearly €4 billion in 1998, the Faurecia Group quickly established itself at the forefront of automotive seat manufacturing in Europe. It went on to gain a solid foothold in the market for exhaust systems in the United States by acquiring US company AP Automotive Systems.
With 320 sites including 30 R&D centers in 34 countries around the world, Faurecia is now a global leader in its four areas of business: automotive seating, interior systems, automotive exteriors and emissions control technologies. Faurecia is the world's number one supplier of seat frames and mechanisms, emissions control technologies and vehicle interiors. The Group is also the world's third-largest supplier of complete seat systems and is Europe's leading name in automotive exteriors.
Faurecia Has 6 subsidiaries in the UK :
FRADLEY : Emission Control Technologies
FRADLEY : Interior Systems
SHIRLEY : Interior Systems
WASHINGTON : Interior Systems
BANBURY : Automotive Seating
BRENTWOOD : Emissions Control Technologies
For Michel Josset, the Insurance, Prevention & Property Manager at Faurecia, the objective was to simplify and streamline its processes and improve the quality of the reporting.
More than 300 users have access to Webrisk at Faurecia and its partners including risk managers, internal insurance consultants, operational departments, HSE coordinators, brokers and insurers.
« Controlling an insurance program for a major group requires the management of complex information flows with a small team and a variety of external partners», explains Michel JOSSET.
«Webrisk enables the information used by all stakeholders to be centralised. Thanks to the allocation of specific access rights, Webrisk now allows each user to interface with a global database and extract strategic data. Thus, more than 30 standalone databases and diverse applications have been merged into Webrisk. Organisational and economic savings in terms of reliability and information visibility, as well as eliminated administrative duties, independence from insurance providers and RFP efficiency are considerable.»
Webrisk has been implemented for over a year, following an RFP launched at the end of 2010. The following features are used daily by FAURECIA and its partners:
> Legal entities: « Webrisk provides a global view of the insurance coverage provided to all 225 group entities»
> Sites and projects: « the 320 sites and the 50 ongoing projects are entered in Webrisk via different descriptive fields (area, property status, RHP ranking, insured values, GPS coordinates, exposure to natural hazard....). The software uses Google Maps interface »
> Prevention : « Insurers conduct regular visits at the industrial sites for risk prevention purposes and feed reports and other relevant data into Webrisk . »
> Renewal data collection : « 72 internal users update the values annually »
> Calculation of P&C premiums and allocation of liability insurance premium : « Webrisk enables the automation of complex premium calculations, a process previously subject to errors.»
> Policy management: « Users now benefit from a considerable information database (premiums, covers, covered entities, excess, commissions) for more than 125 master or local policies (property, financial lines, liability, transport and auto) »
> Contacts management : « The database records more than 1,500 internal and external contacts (site managers, prevention engineers, claims adjusters, lawyers, ...), and this make mass e-mailing easier »
Based on the success of the implementation of the first deliveries, new functionalities have been developed:
> Loss management
> Recommendation implementation monitoring
> Construction and transport programs management
« Webrisk's great flexibility and Effisoft's continuous commitment to improve its platform make us confident about extending the project to non–insurance users, notably the property process management. »
